Amaan Akram is a distinguished LUMS alumnus and a celebrated technology leader with over two decades of experience in visual effects, AI, and creative engineering. From starting out as a CG artist and software developer to holding leadership roles at world-renowned studios including The Mill, MPC, and Technicolor, Amaan has shaped some of the most ambitious projects in film and television. His technical work has contributed to Oscar, BAFTA, and VES-winning productions, influenced rendering systems used across the industry, and supported films such as Mission: Impossible, Lilo & Stitch, and Alien Earth.
As CTO at Untold Studios in London, he leads teams pushing the boundaries of digital production, AI-driven creativity, and next-generation storytelling. Amaan remains connected to LUMS through speaking engagements and mentorship, often sharing his journey from Lahore to global leadership in the VFX and tech space.
