SDSB Reunion 2026 Celebrates 'Luminites: Building Tomorrow'
Returning to campus for SDSB Reunion 2026 served as a reminder of how deeply the LUMS experience continues to shape the lives and journeys of its alumni. Hosted by the SDSB Luminites Association, the reunion brought together over 500 alumni and guests for an evening of reflection, celebration, and renewed connection under the theme “Luminities: Building Tomorrow.” The event celebrated the achievements and impact of the alumni community while creating a space for graduates across batches to reconnect with one another.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of individuals whose contributions have strengthened the LUMS community over the years. The SDSB Luminites Association presented awards to Unsung Heroes within the LUMS ecosystem, individuals whose commitment and behind-the-scenes efforts have made a lasting difference.
The evening also honoured distinguished alumni whose professional accomplishments continue to inspire the community. Among them were Nauman Chughtai (MBA 1994), President of MCB Bank, and Hamza Ahmed (MBA 2007), Global Vice President Marketing at The Coca-Cola Company. Their journeys reflect the far-reaching influence of LUMS graduates across industries and global markets.

The afternoon featured an engaging conversation with Tanzeel Paracha (BSc 2006), founder of Sweet Creme. He shared the story behind the brand’s creation, explaining how the idea emerged when his young son asked for ice cream and he realized that there were few natural, chemical-free options available in the market. What began as a simple moment of curiosity eventually grew into a successful entrepreneurial venture built around quality and authenticity.
During the evening, the SDSB Luminites Association also highlighted the LUMS Endowment Initiative, which aims to raise $20 million to support the University’s long-term growth and sustainability. An interactive pledge wall invited alumni to contribute to this vision, reinforcing the idea that the University’s future is shaped through the continued engagement and support of its community.
The evening was made possible with the generous support of partners including BYD, Wateen Telecom, PepsiCo, Nestlé, Abacus Consulting, Samsung, AkzoNobel (Dulux), Bank of Punjab, Kurkure, Milele Motors, Basilico, and De Minimalist. Their contributions helped create an engaging and memorable experience for alumni.
As the evening concluded, reflections from members of the SDSB Luminites Association, alumni leaders, and the LUMS community reinforced a simple yet powerful message: the strength of LUMS lies not only in its academic excellence, but also in the enduring connections among its graduates.
Through gatherings like SDSB Reunion 2026, the SDSB Luminites Association continues to nurture these connections, reminding alumni that their shared legacy continues through collaboration, contribution, and giving back.
